The basic knowledge about the printing ink

1. The classification of the printer
The printer can be divided into piezoelectricity type and thermal (Bubble jet) type. The representative of piezoelectricity printer is Epson; includes Canon, HP, Lexmark, etc. The method of Printing is different, so the requirements to ink are also different. Generally, the different ink can not be compatible.

2.The classification of the LFP ink
As per the different colorants, the LFP ink can be divided into dye ink and pigment ink. As per the co-solvent, it can be divided into the water-based ink and solvent ink. There are many kinds of dye ink for choice, with rich colors, good water solubility long history of usage and relatively understanding it; but adaptation to climate, water-proof and light fastness is not good. We only recently begin to use pigment ink cosmically in the field of printing. Pigment ink is excellent in the adaptation to climate, water-proof and light fastness, but because of the limitation of the technology, the expressive force and the stability of the color need to be improved cosmically. The water-based ink refers to the ink which uses the water or solvent as the carrier of the colorant. This kind of ink is basically without flavor and no poison to nature. Solvent ink uses large quantity of strong solvent as the carrier of colorants, so they will be harmful to the nature in the production and usage.

3. PH
PH refers to the acidity and basicity. PH> 7 refers to basicity; PH<7 refers to acidity. The range of PH for ink is 7-12. The PH of ink should be accordance with the PH needed by dye, only in this way can ensure the stability of the ink. The PH of LFP of Meilvda is within 7- 9.5, which not only ensures the stability of the ink, but also reduces the corruption to the ink to the material of the cartridge and the jet of the printer.

4.Conductivity
Conductivity reflects the low liquid. The salt quantity is higher, the conductivity is higher and the storage stability of the ink is lower. Meilvda LFP adopts the non-salt dye of the all-known international company of German and Swiss to reduce the salt quantity of ink to ensure the stability of the ink.

5.Viscosity
Viscosity refers to the rubbing force of the liquid in the flowing. Whether the viscosity of ink is compatible with the structure or not will directly influence the speed and quantity of flowing of the ink in printing. The viscosity of the Meilvda is medium and can satisfy the requirements of all sorts of ink cartridge.

6.Surface tension
The size of the surface tension will directly influence the size and shape of the ink drop. The surface tension is high, and the drop shape is good, the image distinguishing rate is high. But if too high, the strip will appear in the printing. If the surface tension is too low, seepage will appear. Meilvda LFP ink designs different surface tension and balances the two requirements at the maximum as per different LFP method.
